Architect
We are looking for a skilled Architect to perform all phases of architectural work including planning, designing and overseeing the construction. You will be involved in new building designs, extensions, alterations, restorations and conservations from the earliest stages right through to completion. The goal is to match clients’ needs and to produce sustainable, functional and aesthetically pleasing designs.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development, issuance and content of deliverables, technical content of documents and coordination of disciplines including consultants and for the supervision of all staff producing documents on your projects
- Reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients, and other discipline group designers that affect the specific project design
- May prepare 2D and 3D presentation/design drawings and builds models for client/project team review
- Take the “brief” to identify clients’ needs and put together feasibility reports and design proposals
- Develop ideas keeping in mind the client’s needs, building’s usage and environmental impact
- Produce detailed blueprints and make any necessary corrections
- Compile project specifications
- Keep within budgets and timelines
- Ensure that all works are carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines and regulations
- Make on-site visits to check on project status and report on project
- Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals
- Follow architectural trends and advancements
- Collaborating in our fast-paced environment with other members of our team, you will work across all phases of design, performing conceptual and detailed design tasks
- You will oversee design and construction activities, studies, and various analyses, leading design coordination across architecture and engineering disciplines
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Architecture or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Architect
- Proficiency in REVIT; additional 3D software knowledge beneficial
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
- Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, 3d Studio VIZ or similar)
- Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
- Visual awareness and an eye for detail
- Communication and project management skills
- Strong knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness
- Knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM)
